LINE 12 – NARRATIVE: We hit just south of Howards Channel. We see a dock full of fishing bouts beyond that a small food market, a parking structure, an open fish market, and a small warehouse.

We decide that we would make a small scouting party cunsisting of Mr. Barclay, Dr. Rivet, Kevin, Tabitha, Lisa, and myself. We tell the others to stretch their legs but to stay close to the boats incase they need to make a fast get away. As we head down the dock we check the ships to make sure they are clear of zombies(S.Z.) and in the process we can see that they have been fairly well picked over. Its my feeling we will find the same at the store, the market, and the warehouse.

As we get close to the front of the store we can see that front door as been broken. Before we enter the store we can hear a woman screaming from behind the store. We peek around the side of the building and catch a glimpse of the woman running from some zombies(S.Z.) on the top level of the parking structure. I try to urge caution in our approach of the situation but again no one seems to pay me any heed. I can’t let them go off and get themselves killed so I move up and take point.

We see that the gate to the parking structure is down and some cars are crashed up against it. We head up the closest stairwell. As we pass the two lower levels we see four zombies(S.Z.) on each level eight in total before we got to the top.

As I emurge onto the top level I can see we are to late the zombies(S.Z.) are eating the woman. Before I can duck out of sight and tell the others we are too late and I think we should retreat, the zombies(S.Z.) spot me. These zombies(S.Z.) were well over half the lot away from us. I thought we would have had plenty of time to make our way back down the stairs and away from danger before we got surrounded, but instead of stumbling toward us in a slow haphazard gait they SPRINTED! At us like crazed wild animals. They covered the distance and obstacles between us at Olympic level speeds.

And then that damned howling  moan. You would think a person would get use to it after hearing it so many times, but no every time it seems to strike some deep primale fear at the core of a person. I felt myself freezing up with fear. It took a great amount of effort but I managed to shake it off just in time to make a stab at the lead Quick Zombie(Q.Z.).

As we engage the zombies(Q.Z.) Lisa asks for the go-a-head for the use of firearms. As I think the loud as hell moan alerted all the zombies(Q.Z.) in the local area and we needed to do a lot of damage fast I gave  Lisa the go-a-head.

Well I tell you this the group may not think much of my in-put outside of combat but they are quick to listen to my tactics in combat. And that makes us a fairly efficient zombie(Q.Z.) fighting unit. Although this new type of zombie(Q.Z.) gave us a moments pause we managed to take all eleven of them out in under a minute.

After the skirmish Mr. Barclay noticed a commotion down at our bouts. We head back to the bouts as fast as we can. As we get closer we can see a stand off between our people and four men with M16’s.

At this point I am thinking why can’t the world prove me wrong every now and then. I told the goup that other survivers would likely try to take what we have to improve their own survival. And now from what I can see there are four guys trying to do just that.

They notice us approaching and they hopped onto their trike which I think has a wagon towed behind it and start to hall ass. We are in their path of escape.

They start fireing wildly and as far as I can tell they are just trying to cover their escape. I tell the others this and that we should just duck and let them go by. They were about to pass us and for some reason Mr. Barclay jumped out and attacked them. If we had let them by to retune to their group there was a good chance they mite not have come back immediately.

I quickly backed up Mr. Barclay’s move and put down the driver, and Kevin put down one of the other guys. Now if we let any of these men get away they will come back fast and with God knows how many looking to be very hostile toward us. So against what appears to be Dr. Rivet desperat want other wise I put the last two down as fast as I can.

Lisa froze I can understand its one thing to put down a walking corpse it is a much more difficult choice to kill a humanbeing, at least it should be.

I collect anything usfull and we head to the bouts. The group confirms what I suspected. That these men were trying to raid supplies from us. We get in the bouts and head north into Howards Channel to see if we can find a better place to find food and other needed supplies.
